Caribbean Halloween…

Despite the recent upheaval caused by the storm surge, life on the island goes on…

The Gypsy Biker was a “scream…!!

Princess Fiona put in an appearance….

Although Superstorm Sandy saw to it that Halloween was a non-event on the Eastern seaboard of the United States, here on Parrot Cay, the staff went ahead with the party anyway…

With very little to liven up life on the island, staff hardly need an excuse to celebrate a “holiday” such as Halloween… Or any other for that matter…!!

Barong was decorated to look as though an industrious army of spiders had been at work there… Large spiderwebs were strung between the trees and on any other surface available, and an enormous blow-up spider was hung near the entrance…

Witch Patricia had me spellbound as usual…!!

The housekeeping staff won the pumpkin carving competition…

Chef Martin was covered from head to toe in paper towels and klingwrap….!!

Emma got to grips with a slightly smaller version of the Incredible Hulk….!!

Nightmares are made of this…!!

Would you take any of these girls home to meet your parents…??

Long after the bewitching hour, the party was still going strong…!! It was interesting to see the people you least expected to, let their hair down and get into the swing of things, even though Halloween was in no way part of their cultures…

Happy Halloween from Barong….!!

Wow, what fun you all had. Patti, you make a nice looking witch! As for you my brother….I remember how you used to dress up like Freddie Kruger, (Nightmare on Elm Street)hat, jacket and lets not forget the kitchen knives taped to all your fingers….and how you ran them along the passage gate….I used to lie there in absolute terror. You scared the living daylights out of me!!!!!
