Tonight we find ourselves in Wytheville, Virginia, after a long and technical ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway…
Not only did we shake the Tail of the Dragon, and end up on the cover of a motorcycle internet magazine in the process, but mist and rain made the last few hundred kilometres more than the test this stretch of road usually is…!!
The Big Fella takes a short breather before tackling the Tail of the Dragon…
After the fact…, and a few of the lightweights we had to duel with…!! As you can tell, they had a slight weight advantage over us, and gave us stick on the few short straights… But the curves were a different matter…!!
I have spent the last two nights in Knoxville, Tennessee, staying with Kevin and Jenn, two of Patricia’s dearest friends…
Kevin and I visited a Safari Park, which was both surreal and hilarious… I will write in more detail about this at a later date…!!
Tomorrow morning I will make the final ride to Washington DC, before flying to the Turks and Caicos to spend time with my WTB… In between making final arrangements for our wedding in TWENTY SIX DAYS TIME; having my ankle sorted out, (darn thing is still bothering me…!!); trying to get a bit of exercise in; and REST; I will try to update my blog as much as I can…

I have covered over 5 000 km in just seven days of riding since leaving Cochrane in Canada, riding through 13 US states… By this time tomorrow I will have ridden almost 9 500 in the 19 days of August alone…!!
Giant strides across America…!! All for a very good cause, of course…!!
