I’ve been REALLY busy…!!

I’d love to tell you all about the last three days, but they have been so action packed that I have barely had the time to look at my laptop…!! And the fact that we only have power here for about six or seven hours a day, doesn’t make matters any easier…

Power comes on at very convenient intervals… Like from 1.00am in the morning until 6.00am…!!

I have been interviewed for a position with the local Fire Department, and here are a few pics of me testing the equipment…

Trying out one of the Amphibious Units… “Sahib, you put your left leg out, but don’t shake it all about…!!”

GB about to get wet…!! “No Sahib, that is the fire hose button… First gear is behind the left ear…!!”

“OK, OK…!! You pass…!! Now come down from there…!!” Fire Chief Chipathi gets impatient with the new recruits…!!

These photos were taken by Paul Damen… That’s his elder brother up behind me in the last photo… Paul is from Holland and currently teaching English to kids in a little rural school out in the sticks… His father and brother are visiting him here in Nepal, and doing a short tour…

We had a great afternoon out on a jeep safari into the park… More about that later…

But I guess we had the most fun washing and messing about with the Elephants… I went down every day to participate…

Took hundreds of photos, but have no chance to re-size them and post them on the site…

This power and internet problem is bugging me BIG TIME…!!

Absolutely awesome. Beautiful animals. I’m sure this will be one of your tour highlights.

Oh how I wish I was with you for this leg of your journey. What a “cool” experience. You sure are one lucky bugger! This will definitely be a highlight for GB Mark; just like the gorilla’s in Ruanda.
