Which means…. I have made it into Nepal…!! And I’m buzzing…!!
What a day…!! I was on the road for eleven hours, and crossed into Nepal just as a full moon rose up above the Immigration offices…!! I thought about over-nighting in Gorakhpur, but the place was even a bigger dump than I had been told to expect…!! And the traffic was a veritable nightmare…!!
Being “only” 90 kms from the Nepalese border, I decided to keep going, and two hours later, got to Sunauli border post just as the sun was going down…
Today was the roughest ride I have made through India… Got bumped twice, pushed off the road by a truck, and had both my mirrors doing pirouettes after being bumped by overzealous bikers on their popcorn machines….!!
I did however manage to score one for the visitors by kicking a guy off his bike when he cut into me at a busy intersection… Left him in a tangle of limbs, pinned under his bike…
I would have stopped to see if he was OK, but I was laughing too hard, and would have had a difficult time trying to look concerned…!!
It is now 10.30pm… I have had a hot shower, eaten a great mutton curry, swigged a bottle of Everest Lager, met a bunch of very friendly Nepalese who seem to think I am superhuman, and am now off to bed to try and iron out the stiffness that is affecting my muscles… Much of it caused by back-slapping Nepalese I might add…!!
Heading for Pokhara tomorrow, and then onto Chitwan National Park to look for stripped cats…
Time to tackle these little “hills”…!!
Later Dudes…!!
Bhairahawa, Nepal
Well done boetie, what a fantastic achievement! The fact that you and Big Fella are in one piece is another miracle. I’m glad you are out of that craziness. Enjoy Nepal. Take it a little easy for a while now.
Love and miss you

Hey I’m laughing my arse off man! That poor popcorn machine rider, I can just see the video LOL!!! Rock on Brother, I just wish I could be there! Rock on my Bru!
Now, as the GB left India, torrential rain, snowstorms, social upheaval would destroy the country.
( See, what happens in Bahrain! )
Only tailors and upholsterers will survive the armageddon.
Great to finally see you in one piece outside India. Look forward to seeing those striped cats.
Bravo ronnie, bravo! Thanks for getting through india unscathed, I was beginning to worry that my morning fix of GBWT was in jeopardy! Ride safe and enjoy them little hills…
