Chenty’s Book is now available…!!

Yes, I know, dammit !!

But I’ve been rather distracted since the arrival of my beautiful wife here in South Africa !! Finding the time to both write and spend any precious spare time I might have with her, is exceedingly difficult !!

I am still capturing my deeds on camera however and will endevour to provide you with a pictorial idea of what I have been up to in the last six weeks, as soon as I am able…

In the mean time, there is some exciting news from my very good friends, Trevor and Chental Wilson in Vancouver !! You might recall, that this is the couple that I first met in Syria, and who then caught up to me in Cambodia and rode with me through South East Asia for more than a month. We then joined forces again last year, on my way up the West Coast of North America, and together with my “Canadian Cavalry” rode to Dead Horse in Alaska, and back. And least I ever forget, they were inadvertently responsible for placing Patricia in my path, and we all know how that episode ended !!

This photo was taken at the Palmyra Oasis is eastern Syria in December 2010. We rode out into the desert together and a few hours later, Trevor and Chenty continued south to Damascus, and I headed west to Lebanon.

Since completing their own Round the World Epic, while Trevor has been his usual industrious self, Chental has put the finishing touches to her book which has finally been published and received critical acclaim.

It was Chental who during our travels through S.E. Asia, inspired me to look into my heart to allow love in it again, and this helped me to heal the wounds of my own past.  The book she has written and which is now available to purchase, has allowed her to realise one of her own dreams, and to share her message that we can still be ourselves while keeping our relationships healthy.

She once told me that she had heard an inner voice say to her, “We are not doing this anymore !!” It sent her on a spiritual journey to find out what she had been doing in her own relationships, and why she was doing the things she did.

Another goodbye, this time in May 2011, in Johor Bahru, Southern Malaysia. They headed north to Kuala Lumpur to catch a flight to Perth in Australia, while I set about trying to get the Big Fella onto a boat for Sumatra or Java...

The book is her story and is entitled “Can I Be Me, Without Losing You?”.

Chental was determined to understand how to become her authentic self while still keeping those she loved close by. It’s a story about partners; sisters and family; about beliefs; awareness; forgiveness; and unconditional love.  Her book ends with a chapter on their ride around the world on two wheels, where she and her husband take off for an adventure to cross 30 countries in 14 months.

You can order a copy from Amazon.com by visiting the following link:  http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=can+i+be+me+without+losing+you%3F

Or directly from Chenty’s website by visiting:  http://www.chentalwilson.com/

Her next book is entitled “A Pillion in a Million” and is due to be published next year ! I am hoping she will be kind when making any references to the renegade Gypsy Biker they met during their travels !!

All the very best with your book, Chenty, and may the printers be kept busy !!

  • thanks Ronnie for putting up the post on my new book! you are a popular guy and I hope to get lots of interest from your blog! My passion has become the desire to share what I have come to know as my truth in my book and in speaking engagements. I really believe that what I have discovered about myself and many women (some men too) is that unbeknown to them they do leave a part of themselves behind to be good partners and mothers/fathers and then naturally once the kids leave that part returns to embody them once again. This can be not only a surprise to the host body but a shock to the partner for they will surely seem different, as I did. Its the understanding and compassion that is required when this happens that enables us to explain it so that neither person goes into fear. Its like a natural cycle of our lives that is so misunderstood.

That stage in our lives where we get to be all of ourselves and keep our relationships as I did or at least understand that it may also be ok to peacefully and gracefully part so as not to leave anyone wounded but healed.
    thanks buddy
